We are having a fundraising dinner/silent auction to raise funds for upcoming projects and continued operation of the facility. We have established our project lists for 2020. Our main projects for 2020 and beyond include:
- Completion of repairs from the snowstorm of February 2019.
- An expansion to Durango's habitat, a cougar who arrived in 2017.
- A new and improved tiger pool for Tabbi and Suri.
- Additional projected operational costs include, but are not limited to:
- Purchasing a truckload of approximately 5,000 pounds of raw meat with a total cost of approximately $8,000.
- Veterinary care. As our cats become older it is paramount to giving them the best life we can. The estimated budget for cat healthcare for 2020 should be around $14,400.
We are always improving habitats and our goal is to complete repairs and upgrades to many of the cat’s habitats so that we can continue to provide the best care possible for these amazing animals. The WFAC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating strictly with volunteers, and all donations are tax deductible and every penny raised goes directly to the 57 residents of our sanctuary.
We invite you to join us at Lake Limerick Country Club in Shelton for an evening of great food, great music and lively auctions all benefiting the amazing wild cats at Wild Felid Advocacy Center of Washington. For more information and to purchase your tickets, please use the link below.
